Two worlds, one WMS

Dual UI
  • Admin UI for the Manager: Full control over stock locations, smart shipping rules, reports, and real-time monitoring.
  • Workstation UI for the Floor: No distracting buttons, just pure scan speed, error checking, and direct printing.
  • Batch picking with intermediate checks: Direct scanning of items and carts prevents errors at the shelf already.
  • Minimal hardware requirements: Works in any browser. Our lightweight print service directly controls thermal label printers.

10 years of practical experience • 800,000+ orders flawlessly processed.

Thoughtful Architecture

Why does the distinction between Admin UI and Workstation UI make the difference?

Instead of having warehouse staff work in complex admin screens, DailyPack separates the logistics operation into two specially designed environments:

Management & Strategy

1. The Admin UI

For Managers, Owners & Supervisors

A rich, analytically managed admin dashboard that provides full strategic control over locations, staff, carriers, and channel connections.

  • Full warehouse control: Manage warehouse locations across Zones, Aisles, Shelves, and individual Bins.
  • Smart action lists & shipping rules: Automatic carrier assignment based on weight, destination country, or order value.
  • Users & monitoring: User rights, detailed performance reports, and real-time monitoring of packing tables.
Speed & Flawless

2. The Workstation UI

For Warehouse Staff & Packers

A distraction-free, ergonomic interface built for barcode scanners and touchscreens. No unnecessary buttons, just pure focus and speed.

  • Streamlined & ergonomic: New employees and temporary staff are operational within 15 minutes.
  • Direct booking & updates: Location changes, bulk moves, and receipts are processed lightning-fast with the scanner.
  • Lightweight print service: Direct control of Zebra/Dymo label printers via our background service on Windows or Mac — no browser pop-ups.
  • 100% flawless packing: The check scan only completes the order once every item has been correctly scanned. Skipping is impossible.
Practice-driven architecture

The separation between management and execution in a real warehouse

You don’t run a warehouse from behind a desk. While the Admin UI handles strategic management and work preparation, the Workstation UI captures the physical actions on the floor directly—from receipts and sorting to order picking and packing.

Admin UI Management & Preparation

Strategic control from the desk

The central environment for managers and work preparers to set up processes, define rules, and prepare stock flows in advance:

  • Manage channels & products: Configure connections with webshops and marketplaces, manage articles, and set central stock parameters.
  • Order filters, action lists & carriers: Set up automatic shipping rules based on weight, country, or order value to assign carriers intelligently.
  • Link purchase orders & receipts: Schedule expected deliveries, secure supplier terms, and prepare purchase orders for the warehouse floor.
  • Minimum stock checks & restocking advice: Automatic alerts for threshold values with ready-to-use advice to refill shelf locations from bulk storage in time.
  • Prepare & assign work: Batch orders, assign priorities, and prepare tasks for specific packing tables.
Workstation UI Physical execution

Physical actions on the warehouse floor

The ergonomic, fast interface for employees at the packing table or in the warehouse is designed purely for physical actions:

  • Create receipt & sort immediately: Open incoming shipments, physically scan each box and sort items directly to the correct shelf or bulk location.
  • Scan locations & relabel: Move items quickly with the scanner and print new shelf labels or relabeling labels directly via the print service.
  • Find & restock returns: Find customer returns instantly by order number or track & trace, verify and immediately restock to the correct inventory location.
  • Order picking carts & batch orders: Execute efficient picking routes and collect batches with clear visual bay indicators on the picking cart.
  • Check scan & intermediate scans: Intermediate scans directly at the shelf and a final check scan at the packing table, printing only when the order is 100% correct.

Why this separation is necessary in a real warehouse

Digitally approving purchase orders with a single mouse click may sound convenient, and in DailyPack you can do that if you wish. But in practice, physical counting, sorting and storage are always required. By logically separating management and execution, warehouse employees no longer need to navigate office software, while managers retain full control over the logistics chain.

Direct Knowledge & Practical Answers

How DailyPack makes your warehouse processes watertight

Practical answers to the most critical challenges in e-commerce logistics and warehouse management.

Quality Assurance

How does DailyPack prevent packing errors in the warehouse?

DailyPack ensures accuracy through a watertight double-check in the picking and packing process:

Intermediate scans during batch picking

Pickers scan the item and the corresponding bay on the picking cart directly at the warehouse shelf. Incorrectly picked items are immediately detected and corrected before they reach the packing table.

Watertight final check scan at workstations

At the packing table, the employee scans each physical item. Only when the order is 100% correct does the Workstation UI automatically generate the correct shipping label. Overriding error messages or skipping steps is impossible.

Traceability & IMS

How does inventory management (IMS) work at the unit level, FEFO and serial numbers?

DailyPack registers items at the unique unit level, enabling full quality assurance and watertight product tracking:

FEFO & Expiry (Lot/Batch)

Products with an expiry date or lot/batch number are automatically assigned according to First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO). This prevents spoilage and ensures compliance with food and cosmetics legislation.

Serial number tracking

Serial numbers are mandatorily recorded during receipt and dispatch. This allows exact tracing of which unique serial number was sent to which consumer per order and warranty claim.

Automation

How does automated transporter assignment and labeling work?

With the Smart Action List, logistical rules are executed fully automatically as soon as an order is received:

Rule-based selection

Automatically assign carriers and shipping methods (e.g.: if Order Value > €100 OR Country = DE → choose DHL Express). No more manual thinking at the packing table.

Direct hardware printing

The Workstation UI controls the correct label printers via our print service for shipping labels, delivery notes and customs documents. Within a fraction of a second, the label rolls out of the printer.

From Receipt to Dispatch

Automated processes from receipt to dispatch

A logical flow that minimizes walking distances, eliminates manual errors and guarantees maximum throughput speed.

Surprisingly little. DailyPack runs entirely in the cloud and works in any modern web browser. You don’t need heavy servers or expensive specialized terminals.

At the packing tables (the Workstations), our self-developed, ultra-light print software runs on the computer (preferably Windows, but Mac is also supported). This software directly controls your thermal label printers (such as Zebra or Dymo) without slow pop-up print screens appearing in your browser.

In the warehouse itself, it can help to use a simple Android PDA or handheld scanner to quickly scan items and shelf locations, but you can also start with a tablet or laptop on a picking cart. You can expand your warehouse setup at your own pace.

Switching to a new WMS often feels like a massive workload. That’s why we never leave you to do this alone: we personally guide you through the entire onboarding process from start to finish. The transition is built around 3 clear and proven steps:

  1. 1. Warehouse Layout: We help you logically divide zones, aisles, racks, and individual shelf locations to minimize walking distances.
  2. 2. Import Products: We pull in all your items, barcode data, and SKUs directly via your connected sales channel (such as Shopify or WooCommerce) or via a simple CSV import.
  3. 3. Set Up Workstations: We configure our fast print connector on your packing stations, link the printers and scanners, and test a few sample orders together.

Thanks to this structured approach, you’ll be live in no time without your daily shipping process suffering even a single minute of downtime.

Yes, absolutely. DailyPack includes a full-featured fulfillment module that can be easily activated at the account level.

This allows you to add a sub-account per external client or individual brand. As a fulfillment company, you retain the central overview of all goods flows and packing tables, while sub-accounts have real-time insight in their own secure portal into current inventory levels, incoming deliveries, and orders.

On the contrary: the separation between Admin UI and Workstation UI is precisely the answer to the objection that WMS software is often too complex!

In traditional WMS systems, warehouse staff must navigate complex admin screens with hundreds of buttons and filters. With DailyPack, packers work in a distraction-free Workstation UI focused solely on scanning, picking, and packing. New employees and temporary workers are operational within 15 minutes.

Employees with higher rights can both collect and prepare orders in the Admin UI and directly on the Workstation, or an admin can pre-select batches. Everyone works in the view that matches their role.

In e-commerce, no month is the same: after a quiet summer period, an explosive autumn peak often follows around Black Friday and the holidays. That’s why we use a smart emergency token system.

If you’ve processed fewer orders in a quieter month than your bundle allows, those orders don’t simply expire. They automatically roll over as emergency tokens to the next month. This builds a buffer that gives you extra breathing room during unexpectedly busy peaks without having to upgrade to a more expensive subscription right away.

In addition to our standard integrations with major platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, bol, PostNL, DHL, and Sendcloud, DailyPack offers a robust and extensively documented REST API and webhooks for custom integrations.

We’re also extremely flexible in adding new connections. Do you use a specific platform or work with a regional carrier? Contact us: we’ll gladly explore together how we can quickly and cost-effectively add that connector for you.

We know better than anyone that in a warehouse, every minute counts. If a printer stalls or orders don’t go through, your operation comes to a halt. That’s why at DailyPack, we consciously avoid anonymous call centers, automated chatbots, or slow ticket systems where you wait days for a response.

You have direct contact with a specialist or account manager who knows the software inside out and sits behind the controls. Thanks to our very short communication lines, we switch immediately in priority situations to resolve the issue quickly and effectively for you.

Moreover, our software isn’t built yesterday: DailyPack has been intensively developed and operationally deployed for 10 years in an active fulfillment company and proven on over 800,000 shipments. All possible teething troubles have long since been ironed out, so you can rely on a proven, robust, and stable foundation every day.
